Celebrate Spring at Glenwood, New Mexico

Glenwood, New Mexico along U.S. 180 is at the heart of an adventurers paradise. And the sense of history is palpable.

And it is ideally suited to host your stay while attending the 16th Whitewater Mesa Fun Kite Flying Picnic in Glenwood.

Celebrate Spring is scheduled for the 2nd of April, 2022, from noon to 5:00 P.M., the 16th Whitewater Mesa Fun Kite Flying Picnic last held in 2019 because of COVID 19 induced restrictions is sanctioned by the American Kitefliers Association. This admission free event promises to be a fun filled event for the entire family.

Organizers will be providing water, kite mending supplies, and loaner kites. It is recommended that people attending bring a picnic lunch, and folding chairs or cushions to sit on the ground. A raffle drawing is scheduled to take place at 2:30.

This is a rural area and directions reflect this. The Kite Flying Picnic will be held across the road from Whitewater Mesa Labyrinths located at 355 Bursum Road. This is he second house on the left after mile marker 3 on NM 159 just off Hwy 180.
